It’s the season of exciting opportunities for Year 9, 10 & 11 Media Arts & FTVNM students to watch incredible films they might never ever have a chance to see again!
Last term, many students participated on the Young Jury to watch and judge three films from the Asia Pacific region, determining who would win the 2022 Asia Pacific Young Audience Award.
This term – on Saturday, November 12th to be exact – it’s the European Film Awards Young Audience Award’s turn! This award is judged by juries of young people from 40+ cities across Europe and, for the fourth time, Australia!
ATOMQld is calling for students to apply to be a member of the EFA Young Audience Award Jury for Australia, that will join youth juries from all over the world to decide the winner of the 2022 Young Audience Award. The three finalist films will be simultaneously presented in non-commercial closed jury screenings on Saturday, 12th November 2022, through 40+ cities across Europe and, representing Australia at in-person events, Brisbane and Gympie!
However, it doesn’t matter WHERE in Queensland students are – there’s also a virtual participation option!
The three nominated films for 2022 are:
DREAMS ARE LIKE WILD TIGERS, directed by Lars Montag, Germany – fiction
ANIMAL, directed by Cyril Dion, France – documentary
COMEDY QUEEN, directed by Sanna Lenken, Sweden – fiction
