Learn about rotoscoping in Adobe Animate!

Introducing our final twilight for 2022, this time a face-to-face workshop on Thursday 3rd November 4-5.30pm, exploring rotoscoping in Adobe Animate.

This workshop will provide a practical hands on experience aimed at all Media Arts and Film educators from 7-12 who are keen to see how Adobe Animate is a very useful tool for painting over video or rotoscoping. Rotoscope animation describes the process of creating animated sequences by tracing over live-action footage frame by frame. Though it can be time consuming, rotoscoping allows animators to create life-like characters who move just like people in the real world. In this short lesson we will learn how to import footage into the animate timeline, manage layers, add keyframes and use the basic drawing tools to add detail and trace parts of the video. We will also cover how to export the video. Teachers can then take these ideas back to their own classroom and share with their students.

This workshop is facilitated by Johnathan Stewart and will take place at Ambrose Treacy College.

As this is a face-to-face practical workshop, places are limited, so register quick to not miss out!
